Vaughan Postcards closing in on 2000 submissions to Know Your Place

The Vaughan Postcard project now has 1751 postcards on the project’s dedicated layer on Know Your Place. The phenomenal progress is due entirely to our community volunteers who are researching the postcard collection held at the Bristol Record Office.

But there are still many postcards left to research, and there are a few obvious gaps in our knowledge of Bristol’s history that are included in the collection. We are particularly interested in seeing the sections on transport expanded, and we have sections of the postcard collection on trams, motor cars, airplanes, and railways that are almost untouched.
