In this first workshop we’ll be hearing from Peter Lewis about the history of Knowle West TV and then explore the paper archive in order to select footage for digitisation, using these criteria:

• location-based footage – landscapes, estates, roads, shopping, demolition, construction, etc – ie, where place is specifically identified in the image
• interviews with a focus on the neighbourhood, changes to, planning, etc
• any footage showing buildings/landscapes no longer existing or that have undergone major change.
• footage showing the community on-the-move (by foot, bicycle, car, bus, horse)
